حفاظت و استفاده بهینه از منابع آب از اصول توسع‍ پایدار هرکشور می‌باشد .آب‌های سطحی یا رودخانه‌ها از مهمترین منابع آب می‌باشند که نقش مهمی در تامین آب مورد نیاز فعالیت‌های مختلف مانند کشاورزی، صنعت، شرب و تولید برق دارند .بسیاری از برنامه‌ریزی‌های منابع آب در کشورها براساس پتانسیل بالقو منابع آب و حفاظت و کنترل آن می‌باشد .براساس مطالعات موجود بار آلودگی رودخانه‌های ایران نیز به علت تخلی‍ فاضلاب‌های گوناگون در سال‌های اخیر افزایش پیدا کرده است .جز در برخی از موارد مطالعات دقیقی که وضعیت کیفی این رودخانه‌ها را مشخص نماید صورت نگرفته است .اولین گام در مطالعات شناخت کیفی و انتخاب پارامترهای کیفی مؤثر بر کیفیت آب رودخانه‌ها می‌باشد .در چند ده‍ اخیر روش‌های مختلفی نظیر مشاهدات میدانی، روش تحلیلی، فرمول‌های تجربی و مجموع‍ وسیعی از برنامه‌های کامپیوتری جهت توصیف و پیش بینی هیدرودینامیک و کیفیت آب توسعه یافته‌اند .در این تحقیق به بررسی آلودگی‌های شهری، روستایی و صنعتی رودخانه سیمینه رود با استفاده از نرم افزار ‮‭Arc GIS‬ پرداخته خواهدشد .سیستم‌های اطلاعات جغرافیایی ‮‭GIS‬ کاربرد فراوانی در پایش و طبقه‌بندی کیفی آب رودخانه‌ها داشته و توانایی تحلیل و بررسی اطلاعات در حجم زیاد را فراهم می‌نمایند .مطابق مطالعات انجام شده در این پژوهش، شرایط کیفی آب رودخانه سیمینه رود در خروجی شهر بوکان به علت ورود فاضلاب‌های شهری، کاهش محسوسی داشته است .رودخانه سیمینه رود فاقد آلودگی به فلزات سنگین می‌باشد .و از نظر تقسیم بندی در رده‌های ‮‭۱A‬ و ‮‭۱B‬ قرار می‌گیرد .در فصول کشاورزی زهکش‌های) گاومیش گلی (موجود بیشترین تاثیر را در محدوده خان‌کندی) ایستگاه ‮‭S۵)‬ بر رودخانه سیمینه رود دارند و همچنین رودخانه از شهر سیمینه به پایین دست، کارکرد تخلیه کنندگی آب زیرزمینی را دارد .مطابق تقسیم بندی ‮‭۱۹۸۰‬ ، ‮‭Novotony‬، ‮‭Kerenkel‬آب رودخانه سیمینه رود اغلب در رده‌های ‮‭۱A‬ و ‮‭۱B‬ قرار می‌گیرد .اما از ایستگاه) ‮‭S۳‬ پایین دست بوکان (وضعیت کیفی آن از نظر پارامترهای آمونیوم، فسفات، ‮‭BOD‬ و ‮‭COD‬ کاهش یافته و آب رودخانه در رده‌های کیفی پایین‌تری قرار می‌گیرد .به طور کلی با مقایسه روند تغییرات پارامترهای کیفی سال آبی‮‭۱۳۷۶ - ۱۳۷۷‬با سال‮‭۱۳۸۷ - ۱۳۸۸‬مشخص شد که تمام پارامترها با گذشت زمان روند افزایشی را داشته‌اند، و باید حتما مورد توجه و بررسی قرار گیرند

1388 it was found that all parameters have increased over time and must be discussed -1377 by Year 1387-Conservation and efficient use of water resources in each country is one of principles of sustainable development. Surface waters or rivers are the main water sources that have important role in supplying water to various activities such as agriculture, industry, drinking water and produce electricity. Many of the country's water resources planning is based on potential of water resources and protection and control of it. Based on existing studies, pollution of Iran Rivers due to discharge of effluents has increased in recent years. Except in some cases studies have not been conducted to determine the status of the quality of the river. The first step in the study is qualitative and quantitative parameters affecting the water quality of rivers. In the past few decades several methods have been developed to describe and predict the hydrodynamic and water quality such as field observations, analytical methods, empirical formulas and a large collection of computer programs. This study examines the pollution of urban, rural and industrialized of Siminehrood River using Arc GIS software. Geographic Information Systems GIS have many applications in water monitoring and quality classification of rivers and provide the ability to analyze large amounts of data. According to studies carried out in this study, quality conditions of Siminehrood river water in the output of Bukan, due to wastewater, has slowed. Siminehrood River has no heavy metal pollution and in terms of segmentation placed in 1A and 1B categories. In agricultural seasons, drains (Gavmish Goli) have the greatest impact within Khankndy area (station S5) on Siminehrood River and also Siminehrood River downstream from the town Simineh has groundwater discharge functioning. According to the classification of 1980, Novotony, Kerenkel, the water of Siminehrood River often placed in 1A and 1B Categories. But in the station S3 (downstream Bukan) quality status of ammonium, phosphate, BOD and COD Parameters decreased and River water levels placed in lower quality.
